It is an object of the present invention to prevent insertion failures of terminals into cavities of connectors even in a case where the arrangement positions of end portions of terminal-attached electric wires vary to some extent. A first gripping portion for gripping an end region of each of the terminal-attached electric wires further moves by a predetermined distance from a point where an optical sensor has detected the terminal during movement along a straight route in a first direction. A second gripping portion grips the end region in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction, thereby taking over support of the terminal-attached electric wire from the first gripping portion. A third gripping portion grips the terminal from both sides in a third direction that is orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction, thereby temporarily taking over support of the terminal from the second gripping portion, and then passes the support. |
