This crystal oscillation device (1) is provided with: an AT-cut crystal oscillator (100) including a crystal oscillation piece (110) having excitation electrodes (130, 140) formed on the main surface thereof, and a frame (120) connected to linking sections (111a, 111b) of the crystal oscillation piece (110) and surrounding the outer perimeter of the crystal oscillation piece (110); a lid member (200) joined to the entire perimeter of a first surface (122) of the frame (120); and a base member (300) joined to the entire perimeter of a second surface (124) of the frame (120), wherein the lid member (200) and the base member (300) are joined to the frame (120) via respective sealing members (170, 172), and at least one joining surface (150a) of the respective joining surfaces has a rough surface region (160a) having a surface roughness greater than that of the main surface of the crystal oscillation piece (110). |
