PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to which a cleaning device is attached, when the image forming apparatus and cleaning device do not fit to each other, prevent insertion of the cleaning device, and enable a reduction in size of the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a cleaning unit 26 that comprises a photoreceptor 1 and a cleaning frame body 14 supporting the photoreceptor 1, and can be attached to an apparatus body 100 of an image forming apparatus forming images on recording materials S, the cleaning unit 26 to be attached to the apparatus body 100 while being adjacent to a developing unit 4 including a developing roller 25 that carries a toner to develop electrostatic images formed on the photoreceptor 1, where the cleaning frame body 14 is provided with engaging parts (bosses 80 and 81) engaging with engaging target parts (insertion guide parts 123 and 124) provided in the apparatus body 100 so that the engaging parts project to a side where the developing unit 4 is arranged when the cleaning unit is attached to the apparatus body 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
