PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side seal of a linear motion guide device capable of using without replacing a seal member whether a rail cover is disposed over a top face of a guide rail or not when the seal member and a holding member are separately formed.SOLUTION: A seal member 1 comprises: an upper seal part 11 having a lip part 11a coming into contact with a top face 101 of a guide rail; and each lateral seal part having lip part coming into contact with each flank of the guide rail. The upper seal part 11 and the lateral seal parts are separately formed and the upper seal part 11 is connected to the lateral seal parts movably in a vertical direction. The upper seal part 11 includes a salient 11b protruding on the side of a holding member 2. The holding member 2 includes grooves, to which the salient 11b is fitted, on a surface on the side on which the upper seal part 11 of a finish plate part 2a is disposed at a plurality of vertical positions. The position of the lip part 11a in a vertical direction is changed depending on positions of grooves 22 and 23 to which the salient 11b is fitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
