PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of reducing power consumption by a heater while maintaining the temperature on a pump electrode.SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes: a measuring gas chamber 11; a reference gas chamber 12; a plate-like solid state electrolyte 2; a heater 3; a partition wall 4; a pump electrode 5p; and a reference electrode 5b. The partition wall 4 is positioned between the solid-state electrolyte 2 and the heater 3. The reference gas chamber 12 is enclosed by the solid-state electrolyte 2, the heater 3 and the partition wall 4. The pump electrode 5p, the solid-state electrolyte 2 and the reference electrode 5b form a pump cell 6p which discharges oxygen contained in a measuring gas g to the reference gas chamber 12. Viewing from a Z-direction, at least a part of the pump electrode 5p is arranged to be overlapped with the partition wall 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
