PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separator capable of removing a suspended substance of sticking to a filtration film, and capable of collecting the suspended substance in a low moisture content, without increasing a solid content concentration becoming a factor of damage to the filtration film.SOLUTION: A membrane separator comprises a membrane module provided with a filtration film for filtering by passing a processing object liquid in one direction in a state of being soaked in the processing object liquid including a suspended substance. The membrane separator comprises: pulling-up means for pulling up the membrane module to an external part from the processing object liquid; removal means for removing the sticking suspended substance from the filtration film of the membrane module pulled up to the external part by the pulling-up means; and collection means for collecting the suspended substance dropped by the removal means from the filtration film of a membrane element pulled up from the inside of the processing object liquid. The removal means removes the suspended substance by circulating a processing liquid filtered by passing through the filtration film to the processing object liquid side from the filtrate side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
