Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention is a method for message transmission. According to a technical solution provided by the embodiments of the present invention, a second signal sent to a first communication apparatus from a second communication apparatus can carry information to be sent, and in addition enables the first communication apparatus to estimate channel information of a wireless channel according to a received first signal, namely the second signal transmitted via the wireless channel, thus saving energy. Moreover, since a peak-to-average ratio of the second signal is related to a preset second sequence, the second communication apparatus can control the peak-to-average ratio of the second signal to be within a reasonable range by presetting a suitable second sequence.
