PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can sufficiently perform forcible discharge and forcible collection.SOLUTION: A development device 12 of a color printer 1 comprises: a housing 30 which stores a developer containing toner; a development roller 34 which supplies toner to a photoreceptor drum 10; and a magnetic roller 33 which supplies the toner to the development roller 34. The development device 12 performs a forcible discharge operation for moving the toner in a forcible discharge amount calculated on the basis of a printing rate from the development roller 34 to the photoreceptor drum 10 when the printing rate per one sheet is smaller than a first threshold in a case where printing is performed to a prescribed number of sheets. The development device 12 performs a forcible collection operation for returning the toner held in the development roller 34 to the magnetic roller 33 when the forcible discharge amount is smaller than a second threshold in a case where the forcible discharge operation is performed, and shifts to the next printing without performing the forcible collection operation when the forcible discharge amount is equal to or greater than the second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
