The copper-aluminum system alloy comprises in weight percent, 5 to 10% aluminum, 0.5 to 3% nickel, 0.5 to 3% iron, 0.1 to 3% manganese, 0.01 to 2.5% tin, 0.001 to 1% magnesium, 0.01 to 2% silicon, and the balance of copper and unavoidable impurities. The alloy is produced by the processes of machining of the surface of casting, heating of the machined casting at over 900deg.C for 1 hour, hot rolling, slow cooling of the hot rolled alloy at 650 to 800deg.C, and then cold working. Compared with known copper-aluminum alloy, the alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, cold machinability and moldability, specially, golden color. This alloy is used for various kinds of industrial machine parts and kitchen utensils.
