A long film is constructed from a plurality of short strips (1, 2) of photographic film. For this purpose, the individual short strips are first of all cut at their ends approximately perpendicularly to their longitudinal edge, so that the end edges (11, 21) of the individual strips run approximately perpendicularly to the longitudinal edge of the respective strip. For joining the individual strips (1, 2) to form a film, a double-T piece (3) of essentially the same flexural rigidity as the film to be joined is inserted as an intermediate piece between the ends of the strips (1, 2) and the mutually parallel running legs (31, 32) of the double-T piece (3) are in each case fastened in the longitudinal edge region (13, 14, 23, 24) of the film strips (1, 2). The connecting cross-piece (33), joining with these two legs (31, 32) to form the double-T piece (3), runs approximately flush to and parallel with the respective end edges (11, 21) of the strips (1, 2). <IMAGE> |
