<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly capable of suppressing interfacial delamination and to provide a fuel cell provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly (100) comprises a hydrogen-transmissive hydrogen separation membrane (10) containing a first metallic element, a proton-conductive electrolyte membrane (30), and an intermediate layer (20) containing a second metallic element and disposed between the hydrogen separation membrane and the electrolyte membrane, and the second metallic element has electronegativity between the electronegativity of the first metallic element and the electronegativity of one reduction element contained in the electrolyte membrane. Since a metal constituting the intermediate layer has the electronegativity between the electronegativity of the metal constituting the hydrogen separation membrane and the electronegativity of one reduction element constituting the electrolyte membrane, the bias of bonding electrons between the hydrogen separation membrane and the electrolyte membrane is suppressed. As a result, the delamination of the hydrogen separation membrane and the electrolyte membrane is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
