A method and an apparatus for canceling interference in a hybrid terminal supporting a broadcasting service and a mobile communication service, and the hybrid terminal thereof are provided to determine the activation of a broadcasting receiver, determine the presence of a broadcasting receiving burst, decrease or increase the transmission power of a mobile communication signal according to the presence of the broadcasting burst, and transmit the mobile communication signal, thereby improving the receive performance of the broadcasting receiver equipped in the hybrid terminal. A method for canceling interference in a hybrid terminal supporting a broadcasting service and a mobile communication service comprises the following steps of: checking a first signal(Digital Video Broadcasting_ON) is transmitted according as a DVB-H(HandHeld) receiver is on(701); receiving a third signal of indicating the receive quality value of a broadcasting signal measured from the DVB-H receiver when the first signal is one(705); receiving receive quality information and receive power information for the uplink power control of a GSM signal from a GSM receiver(707); checking whether a second signal(BURST_ON) of indicating the on/off timing of a DVB burst is one(709); decreasing the transmission power of the GSM receiver when the second signal is one(711); and increasing the transmission power of the GSM receiver when the second signal is zero(713).
