The garage, which can be folded, has a swing section (3) composed of a number of U-shaped segments (4) which fit into each other, with the points of their side walls (5b) on a swing pivot (B). The segments (4) and the base section (1) have locking limits to allow the segments (4) to swing by a defined amount within the structure, so that each inner segment is held in place by the adjacent outer section, on the base section (1) of the structure. When the garage is not in use, the base (1) and segment (4) sections fold together across the basis section line (A). When deployed, the U-shaped cross section shape is maintained by stabilising units (10,11). The base (1) and swing (3) sections are of plastics or a higher tensile light metal. Rubber flaps cover and protect the hinges.
