The travelling wheel drive unit is composed of a frontal-conical transmission, with its output shaft (3) across a flexible coupling (4) with different rigidity in the vertical and horizontal directions, formed by a coupling plate (5) with suspension element (6), pivoted to the travel wheel (8) of the railway vehicle. Through its reaction arm (7) the drive unit is attached to a fixed section of the railway vehicle, whereas the drive unit is arranged so that its centre of gravity (10) is outside the centre (11) of suspension of the flexible coupling (4).<IMAGE> |
