PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling state recorder as a black box for dealing with vehicle accidents, wherein image pickup cameras are installed in the front and rear sides of a vehicle, video signals are taken and recorded in a memory, a mechanical effect is suppressed by using an electric memory and the functions of various sensors inside and outside a car are grasped. SOLUTION: A vehicle traveling state recorder is adapted to continuously record videos from image pickup cameras and time information in a memory capable of securing stable videos by installing the image pickup cameras in the front and rear sides of a vehicle and eliminating a mechanical structure. This recorder is provided with a detector for detecting the cutting of the engine key of the vehicle when running is normally finished, and an erasing means for erasing the recorded content of the memory by a determining means for determining the end of normal running based on the detection. |
