<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel container made of plastics wherein buckling strength and deformation resistance can be improved so that reduction in weight can be achieved. SOLUTION: In the container 10 made of plastics including a body portion 14 wherein four or more, in even number, curved surfaces, are arranged around the axis of the body portion 14, each of the horizontal sections of the portion 14 along the axis thereof has a wavelike shape, and the peak of one curved surface and the valley of the other curved surface, adjacent to the former curved surface, are located at the same level, each of the curved surfaces being formed helically around the axis. This specific form greatly improves buckling strength and deformation resistance. In order to obtain such effect, the number of the curved surfaces is preferably 6 to 12.</p> |
