PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner for pulverized fuel combustion capable of enhancing combustibility even when wood powder is used as fuel by evenly dispersing the wood powder in a combustion part at low speed and low concentration, and promptly carrying out mixing of the wood powder and high temperature air. SOLUTION: The burner 20 for pulverized fuel combustion burns wood powder carried from a silo 18 storing the wood powder to be used as fuel to a boiler 14 for burning the wood powder by an air current for conveyance generated from a blower 19. In the burner 20, a cross sectional area of a wide diameter part 20W is provided larger than a cross sectional area of a narrow diameter part 20N. The wide diameter part 20W is a cylindrical shape with a center axis facing a horizontal direction H. A spacer 22 for preventing the wood powder from flowing near the center axis 20c is arranged in a center axis 20c in the vicinity of a burner 20 interior. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
