PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with which excellent visibility is obtained by suppressing temperature rise in a liquid crystal display panel, and detecting a temperature closer to the temperature of the liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with: the liquid crystal display panel 3 having a liquid crystal sealed in between a front side substrate 1 and a rear side substrate 2; a holder 5 to support the liquid crystal display panel 3; a circuit substrate 6 electrically connected to the liquid crystal display panel 3; a thermistor 9 placed on the front face side of the rear side substrate 2 as a temperature sensing element; a metal panel retainer 11 arranged on the periphery of the front side substrate 1 and on the front face side of the thermistor 9; and elastic heat conduction members 12, 12A arranged between the front side substrate 1 and the panel retainer 11 and between the thermistor 9 and the panel retainer 11.
