PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a position selected by a user more easy to understand, in a switching matrix device used for connection between a plurality of input terminals and a plurality of output terminals. SOLUTION: The switching matrix device comprises a plurality of relay switches for opening and closing electrical connections among a plurality of input terminals and a plurality of output terminals, and a display device 102, in which a plurality of light-emitting sections are arranged in a matrix each of which corresponds to each relay switch and indicators 141, 142, which indicate positions of the light-emitting sections in at least some columns and rows, are displayed along at least two sides of the matrix arrangement of the light-emitting sections. In order to facilitate recognition of the position of a light-emitting section, which is being selected or which has been selected with a light pen 180 on the display device 102, one or more of the other light-emitting sections, related to the light-emitting section which is being selected or which has been selected, are lit.
