PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent dew condensation on a cell window surface to enhance measuring precision, to prolong a life of a desiccant to reduce a frequency of replacement, and to reduce maintenance work and a cost, in an optical water quality measuring instrument such as a turbidimeter with an integrating sphere. SOLUTION: This optical water quality measuring instrument is provided with a detection cell 3 stored in a sealed space in a detector 1 and supplied with a water sample, and measures water quality of the water sample using light emitted via one cell window 32B, by emitting the light toward the water sample in the detection cell 3 via the other cell window 32A. The measuring instrument is provided with the desiccant stored in desiccant storage chambers 6A, 6B arranged in the sealed space, gas pumps 7A, 7B and pipes 8A, 8B as force feed means for feeding forcibly dried air generated by passing the desiccant, and nozzles 9A, 9B as injection means for injecting the dried air forcibly fed by the force feed means toward a surface of a nonsample water side of the cell windows 32A, 32b.
