PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine the lifetime of a battery by properly measuring the internal resistance of a secondary battery of nickel-hydrogen battery. SOLUTION: The method of determining lifetime of a secondary battery used with repetition of charge and discharge measures internal resistance R at a specific capacity during charging, calculates variation of the internal resistance with time and determines the lifetime of the secondary battery.
