PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems with an ordinary spectacle frame made by using a petroleum-based resin as a frame of spectacles that, even if such frame is molded in compliance with the face due to the soft nature of the resin, the frame is deformed during use and the points coming into contact with a human body are roughened in surface or whitened by friction and moisture absorption. SOLUTION: The spectacle frame is constituted by providing the whole or prescribed portion of the spectacle frame with a molding made of a casein-based resin as a base, and providing the surface of the molding with a coated hardening layer of a coating material hardening layer essentially composed of prepolymer obtained by bringing mono- or poly- hydric alcohol selected from (A) polyoxyalkylene polyol, (B) hydrooxyalkyl poly(meth)acrylate, (C) polyhydrooxyalkylene glycidyl polyether or (D) perfluoropolyoxyalkylene polyol having 1 to 3 hydroxyl groups in average one molecule and organic diisocyanates into reaction and having average 2 to 5wt% free NCO groups.
