PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform the lightness of a projected image in an image projector which projects an image on a screen by raster-scanning laser beams by using an MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) resonance mirror. SOLUTION: The raster on the screen 14 is made uniform in lightness by adjusting the light emission intensity of the laser light corresponding to the variation in the raster scanning speed in horizontal direction when a horizontal scan is performed by an resonance scan and a vertical scan is performed by a static scan by using the MEMS resonance mirror 15 and a laser scan is performed by outputting respective pixel image data of three primary colors R, G and B by indicating the address in a frame memory 17.
