PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the collapse of a bullet stop wall caused by the expansion of a bullet stop block caused by a caught bullet. SOLUTION: This bullet stopping device has the bullet stop wall 3 disposed behind targets 2 for shooting practice. The bullet stop wall is formed by stacking a plurality of bullet stop blocks 4 of rectangular parallelopiped shape with elasto-viscosity and arranging them in a lateral direction. The bullet stop block is formed by connecting granular members with elasto-viscosity at a predetermined rate of porosity with a binder, and a large porosity region 10 with larger porosity than the predetermined rate of porosity is formed at a part of the bullet stop block. The expansion of the bullet stop block caused by the caught bullet is thereby absorbed by a cavity to prevent the collapse of the bullet stop wall. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
