摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve mechanism of an internal combustion engine capable of varying the maximum lift amount of a valve element and bringing a principle part of the mechanism for transmitting input of an cam in a stop state in addition to the valve element during operation stop of the valve element. SOLUTION: A cam roller 66 receiving the input from the cam is connected to a control arm 40 through an oscillating shaft 64. Intermediate rollers 60, 72 which can be switched between connection with and disconnection from the cam roller 66 is connected to the control arm 40 through oscillating shafts 58, 70. Oscillating arms 80, 82 are assembled to the control arm 40 so that the intermediate roller 60 and a slide surface 88a are contacted and the intermediate roller 72 and a slide surface 90a are contacted. A control shaft 92 is inserted to pass through all control shaft receiving holes 50, 52, 54, 84 and 86. The control shaft 92 and the control arm 40 are fixed by a lock pin 98.
