PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine heat transfer device capable to positively leading heat in the neighborhood of a combustion chamber to a lower part of a cylinder block to cool an upper part of the cylinder block and warm the lower part of the cylinder block. SOLUTION: The heat transfer device (1) comprises, on the underside of a cylinder gasket (2) having a base plate made of SUS, a hollow container (3) extending toward the lower side of the cylinder block. Carbon nanotubes (5) are enclosed in the hollow container (3). A heat collector plate (4) comprised of a copper plate is arranged on a surface of the cylinder gasket (2). The heat collector plate (4) collects heat around the combustion chamber and transfers the heat to the lower part of the cylinder block through the hollow container (3). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
