PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive strainer mounting structure allowing mounting of a strainer even in a narrow place. SOLUTION: The strainer mounting structure is provided with a connection piping 3, a strainer body 2 detachably mounted on the connection piping 3, a screen 1 built in the strainer body 2, and a pipe joint 10 joining the connection piping 3 and the screen 2. The connection piping 3 has a piping side joint groove 2a on a whole circumference of an outer circumference face of an end connected to the strainer body 2, and the strainer body 2 has a strainer side joint groove 2a forming a pair with the piping side joint groove 3a on a whole circumference of its both end outer circumference face. The pipe joint 10 comprises a plurality of joint members 5 engaged from a radial direction over the piping side joint groove 3a and the strainer side joint groove 2a, and clamping tools 6, 7 clamping ends connected to the plurality of joint members 5 in a direction crossing a longitudinal direction of the connection piping 3.
