PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permanently guarantee the mounting/demounting of a protector on/from a front fork by reducing the possibility of a trouble of a mounting means for mounting the protector on the front fork in a demountable manner due to the collision of flying stones. SOLUTION: This protector mounting structure is provided for mounting the protector 3 on an outer tube 1 of the front fork. The outer tube 1 has a bracket 1B arranged on the outer peripheral face of a head portion 1a in a horizontal or almost horizontal direction. The protector 3 has a connection piece 3c curved along the outer periphery of the outer tube 1 and formed on the inner peripheral face opposed to the outer periphery of the head portion 1a of the outer tube 1 so as to be seated on the bracket 1b. The mounting means for connecting the connection piece 3c to the bracket 1b is concealed from the front and side views of the front fork by the protector 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
