An electronic conference system is provided to enable members joining in an electronic conference to collect interested pages or memos used in the electronic conference by using shared and personal overwrite layers. A controller(12) includes an access controller(59) for obtaining documents(51) used in a presentation from a document server and storing the obtained documents in a document storage(50). The access controller controls access for obtaining the document, transferring the documents to a main or sub terminal(10,16), and writing a memo. The main terminal includes a main terminal display unit(55) for displaying the document received from the controller and a memo writer(68) attaching the memo to the document. The sub terminal includes a sub terminal display unit(61), the memo writer(54), a pre-selector(67) for selectively extracting the memos, a selection receiver(69), and an image complier(56), and an image output unit(58). The selection receiver includes a page selector(63), an overwrite layer selector(65) for selecting a personal or shared overwrite layers(52,53) included in the document.
