<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation in the performance of a device by preventing chip made by a tapping screw from scattering in the device, by a simple, inexpensive structure in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The motor frame 17 of the image forming apparatus has a fixing hole 21. A chases 13 has a through-hole 22. A double-sided adhesive tape 24 has a cross-shaped cut, and is stuck between the motor frame 17 and chases 13 so that the tapping screw 33 is passed through the cross-shape cut of the double-sided adhesive tape 24. After the tapping screw 23 is passed through the through-hole 22 and screwed into the fixing hole 21, the cross-shaped cut of the double-sided adhesive tape 24 causes the chip to be attached to the face where they joint. This tape prevents the chip from scattering, resulting in shortcut of a brush-less motor circuit board due to the chip, and hence malfunction. In addition, the chip is prevented from being attached to a photoreceptor drum and fixing roller, resulting in deterioration of an image, and hence degradation in the performance of the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
