PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of reducing rattling noise or sliding noise because of containing an idle gear made of resin composition, without generating meshing defects, breaking, or large deformation caused by an excessive amount of deflection of the idle gear's teeth. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises the idle gear 26 consisting of the resin composition containing PA66 whose melt viscosity at 280°C is 1000 Pa s or more and one kind selected from glass fiber of 5-50 mass% to the total amount of the resin composition, carbon fiber of 2-30 mass%, or aramid fiber of 10-50 mass%.
