PURPOSE: An enteric soluble coating composition containing shellac and carboxymethylcellulose sodium (CMC Na) are provided to reduce side effects. CONSTITUTION: An enteric soluble coating composition contains 1-30 weight parts of shellac and 0.01-5 weight parts of carboxymethylcellulose sodium(CMC Na). An enteric soluble medicinal and pharmaceutical composition is produced by coating an active ingredient with the coating composition. The active ingredient is aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, clonixin lysine, or streptokinase.
