摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display member capable of achieving a peak of wavelength in the appearance of structural color in reflection spectrum being sharp and having high degree of purity in color and achieving high intensity of reflection light in the peak of wavelength and high density in color; and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the display member comprises processes for forming a layer by using the dispersion liquid prepared by dispersing spherical bodies into a liquid, letting the layer stand still or drying it, adding a liquid filler to the layer when the content of liquid in the layer becomes 5-20%, and forming matrix by solidifying the filler to manufacture the display member having a display layer letting the structural color appear and formed by the spherical bodies and the matrix. This display member has a degree of periodic arrangement indicating a degree of displacement of a position from a regular periodic structure condition of the spherical bodies in the display layer of 90% or more and percentage of void in the inside being a ratio of cavity region where neither of the spherical bodies nor the matrix to be analyzed in an image on an optional cross section in the display layer is existent is 10% or less.
