PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal nanoparticle production device which can produce a large quantity of metal nanoparticles at low cost using electron beams. SOLUTION: The metal nanoparticle production device comprises: a vessel 20 storing an aqueous solution W comprising metal ions and a surfactant; an electron beam irradiation apparatus 6 irradiating the aqueous solution W with electron beams; and a stirrer 25 stirring the aqueous solution W in the vessel 20. By stirring the aqueous solution W by the stirrer 25 and replacing the surface layer of the aqueous solution W with the lower layer thereof, the whole of the aqueous solution W is irradiated with electron beams. The device further comprises a temperature regulation apparatus regulating the temperature of the aqueous solution W in the vessel 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
