摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation that a forward-reverse switching mechanism disposed at the downstream of a crank-type continuously variable transmission and composed of a dog clutch, is locked and cannot be operated.SOLUTION: In a power transmission device for a vehicle including a continuously variable transmission for changing rotation of an input shaft 11 and transmitting the same to an output shaft 12, and a forward-reverse switching mechanism disposed between the output shaft 12 and a driving wheel and composed of a dog clutch switching forward movement and reverse movement, when switching from a travel range to a non-travel range is instructed, torque release means changes a link length between the input shaft 11 and the output shaft 12, or a link length between an input-side fulcrum 18 and an output-side fulcrum 19c so that an input member 22 of a one-way clutch 21 is rotated in a disengagement direction and accumulated torque is released, thus locking of the forward-reverse switching mechanism can be prevented even when the driving wheel rides on a curbstone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
