PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control device of an engine which can properly obtain a sporty start feeling while suppressing the deterioration of emission.SOLUTION: A start control device (ECU 10) of an engine has: a rotation-number steep rise control part 10a which performs control for steeply raising an engine rotation number by increasing a suction air amount at a start of the engine; a fuel cut control part 10c which stops fuel injection when the engine rotation number reaches a target rotation number by control by the rotation-number steep rise control part 10a, or after the engine rotation number reaches the target rotation number, and when a prescribed restoration condition is established after the stop, restarts the fuel injection; and a control prohibition part 10e which prohibits both the control by the rotation-number steep rise control part 10a, and the stop of the fuel injection performed by the fuel cut control part 10c when a temperature rise of an exhaust emission purification catalyst 26 arranged at an exhaust passage 25 of the engine 10 is necessary at the start of the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
