<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boron-doped diamond sinter which has good electrical conductivity and excellent heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The boron-doped diamond sinter which has good electrical conductivity and excellent heat resistance is obtained by using a raw-material powder which comprises 90-99.9 wt.% boron-doped diamond powder having a dopant boron amount of 1-10 wt.% and, as a binding phase component, 0.1-10 wt.% carbonate powder comprising one or more of the carbonates of Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba and composite carbonates of two or more of these, and sintering the raw-material powder under ultra high-pressure and high-temperature conditions to melt the binding phase component and cause it to infiltrate into and fill the interstices among particles of the boron-doped diamond powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
