PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion protection method that can obtain sufficient anticorrosive effect on a steel pipe at least partially embedded in soil, without affecting the surrounding facilities.SOLUTION: A corrosion protection method of a steel pipe is a corrosion protection method of a steel pipe such as a steel pipe pile 1 whose upper end opening 1a is opened upward and whose lower end opening 1b is at least partially embedded in soil 2 so as to be located in the soil 2. An inert gas 4 is blown into the steel pipe pile 1 from the upper end opening 1a to supply the inert gas 4 from the inside of the steel pipe pile 1 into the soil 2. The steel pipe pile 1 preferably has a plurality of through holes 1c, in side surface thereof, for supplying the inert gas 4 from the inside of the steel pipe pile 1 into the soil 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
