PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for external preparations, when a support body is fitted in a container body, preventing the container body from being inclined with respect to the support body in the container for molding the external preparation using a lid, and external product using the container for external preparations.SOLUTION: A container 2 for an external preparation 1 includes: a container body 21; a support body 3 for holding the solid external preparation 1; and a lid 5 removably fitted to the support body 3. The container 2 includes a plurality of grooves 61 formed at some intervals apart in the circumferential direction, and a plurality of projections 62 to be inserted into the plurality of grooves 61. The plurality of grooves 61 are provided at least one of an inner peripheral surface of an opening of the container body 21 and an outer peripheral surface of the support body 3.
