<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for attaching soft tissue to a bone, and an improved device using it. <P>SOLUTION: A method for fixing a suture to the bone and a device using it are provided. An illustrative embodiment is provided with a tubular suture anchor. This suture anchor is the suture locking member formed to the suture anchor and constituted so that the suture is housed in the periphery of the suture locking member so that the rear end part of the suture extends into the suture anchor.
