<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a failure even if an image forming apparatus is installed on a slope. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a toner concentration detecting means 57 for detecting toner concentration in two-component developer constituted of toner and carrier stored in a developing device; a first storage means for storing the first toner concentration detected by the toner concentration detecting means with reference to the toner concentration in the developing device while the image forming apparatus is installed in the first position; a second storage means for storing the second toner concentration detected by the toner concentration detecting means 57 with reference to the toner concentration in the developing device while the image forming apparatus is moved and installed in a second position; an inclination level decision means for comparing the first toner concentration stored by the first storage means and the second toner concentration stored by the second storage means and for deciding the inclination level of the image forming apparatus; and a correcting means for correcting the detection results by the toner concentration detecting means 57 based on the decision results by the inclination level decision means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
