PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a vehicle capable of securely prevent collision with a front obstacle by suppressing acceleration or start of the vehicle on the basis of an image photographed by a monocular camera even when pitching is generated in the vehicle due to running over a step.SOLUTION: A control device (1) of a vehicle comprises: an accelerator opening sensor (8) for detecting a degree of accelerator opening; a monocular camera (6) for photographing a front view of the vehicle; an ECU (22) for controlling a drive power generated by an engine (18) as well as determining presence of any front obstacle on the basis of an image photographed by the monocular camera during traveling of the vehicle; and an accelerator (12) for detecting pitching of the vehicle. If the ECU determines that there is no front obstacle and no pitching is detected, it will cause the engine to generate a requested drive power Tdetermined according to the degree of accelerator opening, while if the ECU determines that there is no front obstacle and pitching is detected, or if the ECU determines that there is one or more front obstacles, it will suppress a drive power generated by the engine to a limited drive power Tor less, which is less than the requested drive power T.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
