A polyester film which has excellent aroma retention and corrosion resistance and which can be adhered at low temperatures to a metal plate is provided. This polyester film for use in a metal plate laminate is formed from a composition containing a polyester resin that is primarily ethylene terephthalate, and is characterized in that the total content of ethylene terephthalate units and diethylene terephthalate units in the polyester resin is 95-98 mol% out of the 100 mol% of all constituent units of the polyester, and the content of amorphous inorganic particles is 0.5-2.0% mass% out of 100 mass% of the aforementioned composition.
