<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which attains compatibility between reduction of power consumption and improvement of user's feelings in use, as the electronic equipment with different functions combined. <P>SOLUTION: Portable terminal equipment comprises: a CPU 11 for judging either a first function mode or a second function mode; a first display section 34 on which display control is performed by a display control section 27 in accordance with a function mode; a tuner 12 for receiving television broadcast; and a television receiving state detection section 14 for detecting whether television display can not be performed. The first function mode is a television broadcast receiving mode for receiving television broadcast. The display control is performed on the first display section 34 by the first display control mode that is a display control mode corresponding to the first function mode and if a detection result detected by the television receiving state detection section 14 indicates that the television display can be performed, the first display section 34 is maintained at predetermined illuminance but if the television display can not be performed, the display control section 27 control the first display section 34 to be lower than the predetermined illuminance or put out light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
