摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and a control method therefor such that while regeneration efficiency in a high speed travel is improved as compared with the conventional art, a fuel consumption is reduced to improve fuel economy without stopping a steering assist in an auto-cruising mode and further while keeping a charged state of a battery within a proper range.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle comprises a speed reduction mechanism 30 which connects a propeller shaft 25 to a rotary shaft 32 of a motor generator 33 and a driving shaft 46 of a second power steering pump 45 respectively, and a switching device which switches a supply source for a power steering fluid to a steering unit 53 to the second power steering pump 45, and a controller 80 is configured to perform control to predict a steep uphill road L3, to perform regenerative electricity generation by a motor generator 33 until the steep uphill road L3 is reached, and to change a charged state Ce of a battery 35 at a starting point thereof to a highly charged state Ch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
