PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which is advantageous to pursue low cost, downsizing and designability and has high reliability.SOLUTION: A lighting device comprises a substrate, a light emitting element formed on one surface of the substrate, and a back metal layer formed on a surface of the substrate on the side opposite to the surface where the light emitting element is formed. The light emitting element is composed by sandwiching an organic compound layer containing a light emitting material between a pair of electrodes. The substrate has a lamination structure of organic insulation layers and metal layers, which has one and more layers of internal metal layers inside, and in which the internal metal layer is thermally coupled with the back metal layer via a through hole provided in the organic insulation layer. The through hole has a structure so as to have smaller heat resistance compared with a case of being thermally coupled with without the through hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
