PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy the desire that the valley of a tatami facing should be cut with the valley of a tatami facing mesh in a straight line form, or that the same should be cut to be a straight line parallel with a straight line of the valley of a tatami facing mesh when the tatami facing is to be cut with a tatami facing cutting machine.SOLUTION: A tatami facing cutting machine for cutting a tatami facing in the width direction by transporting the tatami facing is provided which comprises a sensor for detecting the height or depth of a tatami facing mesh and a sensor for detecting the height or depth of the slope of a rush at a position equidistant or nearly equidistant from the valley of a tatami facing mesh on right and left in the width direction from the valley of a tatami facing mesh to detect whether the tatami facing is transported along the valley of a tatami facing mesh from height or depth data of the tatami facing mesh, height or depth data of the slope of a rush at a position on right in the width direction of a tatami facing mesh, and height or depth data of the slope of a rush at a position on left in the width direction of a tatami facing mesh.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
