PURPOSE:To automatically correct the copy magnification by automatically detecting the difference in dimensions between an original picture and a copy picture. CONSTITUTION:When the original having two light/darkness changing parts is scanned by exposure at a speed V0 with an exposure scanning means 101 and is copied, a detecting part 102 detects and outputs said light/darkness changing parts, and a counting means 103 counts an exposure scanning time t1 between two light/darkness changing parts and stores this time in a storage means 104. When a transfer paper obtained by copying the original is scanned by exposure at the speed V0 with the exposure scanning means 101, the counting means 103 counts an exposure scanning time t2 between light/darkness changing parts in accordance with the detecting means 102 and stores it in the storage means 104. An operating means 105 calculates an exposure speed V=V0Xt2/t1, and a control means 106 performs such control that the exposure scanning speed of the exposure scanning means is V, and therefore, copy pictures obtained thereafter by copying coincide with the original picture. Thus, copies of unmagnification are obtained from the original. |
