PURPOSE:To restrain generation of slips between rolls by bringing a roughness of a surface region being not in contact with a rolled stock in respective bodies of work rolls and intermediate rolls to be higher than a roughness of a surface region being in contact with the stock. CONSTITUTION:In an intermediate roll driving type multi-roll cold rolling mill, an inbetween roll equivalent roll roughness Ra of a high roughness surface region being not in contact with a rolled stock 4 in respective bodies of work rolls 1 and intermediate rolls 2 is increased. As the result, a slip generating ratio between the rolls 1 and 2 is reduced; if making the Ra not less than a some value, the ratio is restrained to be zero. |
