<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a green phosphor having a high conversion efficiency in a blue or near-UV light and a good color purity, and to provide a light-emitting device, an image display device, an illuminating device and a phosphor-containing composition using it. <P>SOLUTION: The complex oxynitride phosphor is represented by general formula [I]: M1<SB>x</SB>Ba<SB>y</SB>M2<SB>z</SB>L<SB>u</SB>O<SB>v</SB>N<SB>w</SB>. The light-emitting device, image display device, illuminating device and phosphor-containing composition using it are also provided. In the formula, M1 indicates Cr, Mn, Fe, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm or Yb; M2 indicates Sr, Ca, Mg or Zn; L indicates a metal element belonging to the group 4 or 14 of the periodic table; and x, y, z, u, v and w are respectively a figure satisfying the following: 0.00001≤x≤3, 0≤y≤2.99999, 2.6≤x+y+z≤3, 0<u≤11, 6<v≤25 and 0<w≤17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
